KIN KARIISA: Next Radio will cause major shift in landscape of online radio
Written by Lindah Nduwumwami on October 17, 2018
Our distinguished guests here tonight, we yet again gather to launch a new Next Media product that is set to shape digital radio in Uganda.
One of our responsibilities as Next Media is to get the best of everything for our audiences and I believe we’re delivering.
We’re here to launch Next Radio, the next big thing in radio. I’m sure you’ve seen that eye-catching green everywhere, even at Nyege Nyege, for those who disobeyed Father Lokodo and went to Jinja.
When you listen to a radio, do you just come for the music and then move on or stay around for that inspirational message? People care most about things that affect them and then move on to the next, the listener may identify themselves with a range of life experiences. For this reason and more, we started Next Radio to avail the masses with fast pace news, non-stop music, relationship, and celebrity gossip. We’re here to cause a major substantial shift in the landscape of online radio in Uganda.
Each of Next Radio’s programs is distinctive with experienced presenters, they all make a significant contribution to delivering the Next Media mandate. We’re here to create positive vibes through music, every day that a presenter comes to work, they’re solely on the radio to create positive change through music
Next Radio is the first and only digital station in Uganda.
An exceptional station doesn’t just assume relevancy, it proves it through its programming and presenters.
They make the case, “you should take time off to listen to this program because it’s plausibly important to you.” In other words, we empower people through the Next Radio programming.
We want to be the first digital radio of resort where people go for entertainment, and music, but also we want to be a reliable source in a sense that when someone says Kanye West has released a new song, they don’t have to look elsewhere for verification/validation.
On this note, I take this utmost opportunity to thank the Next Radio team that has worked tirelessly to see to the success of the radio, in the same light, I thank the Next Media team for making this happen.
