State Minister to Install Lightning Conductors in Every Primary School

The state minister for primary education Rosemary Seninde has said government is battling to install lightning conductors in every primary school in the country.Seninde decries that a policy was put in place for every school to have a lightening conductors but this is yet to be realized due to financial constraints.  State minister for primary education Rosemary Seninde has decried lack of enabling funds to install lightning conductors in every primary school across the country.  Seninde says there is a policy in place but government allocates the ministry meager resources which can’t allow it buy lightening conductors for every school in the country.  Government allocates only sh400million every financial year forpurchase of conductors. According to Senindethis is little money a reason her ministry has decided to prioritize schools in lightening prone regions.  Thunder and lightning are natural disasters that can strike anywhere regardless of the time. Schools have not been enabled to use their own resources to install these conductors.  Seninde was speaking at the launch of 5 primary schools inKiruhura district that were constructed by “building tomorrow”a non-governmental organization.
