Kabula County Member of Parliament James Kakooza is out of danger following an accident in which he was badly injured. On Saturday,Kakooza who was driving an Audi registration number UBB 826 F was involved in a nasty accident at Rwebiteete, Kiruhura district along the Mbarara highway when the vehicle he was driving rammed into a boda boda carrying two passengers. However, the Nile Post has since learnt that the legislator who was first admitted at Mbarara hospital has since been transferred to Kampala for further medical attention. “He is out of danger though he has a fractured right arm but is being transferred to Kampala for further medical treatment,” said a police source. The accident on Saturday saw MP Kakooza’s Audi vehicle fail to brake and knocked a motorcycle from behind killing Enos Kisakye, a pastor at Lwebiteete Church of God instantly whereas two others including David Byamugisha and John Ngumikiriza sustained serious injuries. This is not the first time the Kabula county legislator in Rakai district is involved in a nasty accident. In 2008,Kakooza narrowly escaped death when his vehicle veered off the road and rolled several times in an accident that took place along the road to Bukanga in Mbarara. Then, Kakooza who was being chauffeured after attending a burial sustained simple scratches but his personal assistant sustained a broken pelvis bone.
