Written by on July 29, 2019

Renown emcee and NBS TV presenter Edwin Katamba, famously known as MC Kats, has revealed how his father’s tough decision to throw him out of the family home became his major motivation to work hard.  We all have a starting point in the journey of life after depending on our parents for too long. For some people, it’s by choice and not quite much of the same for others.  The latter was the case for MC Kats who reveals that he was thrown out of the family home by his father whom he loved so much then.  Kats is the most celebrated of Ugandan emcees and media personalities and he has lasted the test of time. For all the success and fame achieved, the journey was not a bed of roses.  He started life in the limelight working at WBS TV, on a show dubbed The Teen’s Club, with Flavia Tumusiime at a very young age of thirteen having been spotted by one of the television station’s bosses at a gig in town.  This did not seem to please his father who subsequently asked him to leave his home and go find his future elsewhere. The entertainment industry then was looked at as an avenue for the heathens.  The 32-year-old revealed that he used the situation to motivate himself and worked so hard to achieve the status he holds today with close to eight years in the entertainment business.
