NBS TV After5 show host and celebrated Master of Ceremonies, Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats has praised whoever was involved in throwing bottles at upcoming singer Paul Mutabazi alias Fresh Daddy. MC Kats who has been a critic of Fresh Daddy since he releasing his Mazike song, says that the ‘very good’ people who pelted Fresh Daddy with bottles at a concert at Aero beach Entebbe, deserve a hefty pay for upholding quality in Uganda’s music industry. According to Kats, the Uganda music industry has gone through so much to accept comedians like Fresh Daddy.“Those who pelted him with bottles are the best, they have proved to everyone that I have been right all this while,” he said. “We want the music industry to grow, people should stop dragging us into things that worsen this industry. People have sacrificed so much for the Uganda music industry. Now we shall start having people like Aunty Daddy, Cousin Daddy, etc. This should be rebuked in all manner. Talented young people are out there selling land, selling their cars just to go and record a song in the studio and here we have the likes of Fresh Daddy playing around!” he added. Meanwhile, Fresh Daddy will not relent, he has already clutched on the bottle pelting opportunity to release his new song obucupa, even before the mazike song comfortably sits on DJs’ decks. Kats on the other side says he has no ill intention and neither does he have a personal issue with Fresh Daddy, but thinks he should not disgrace the music industry.
