Triplets Ghetto Kids dedicate concert to the late Alex Ssempijja

Written by on January 23, 2020

On Friday 25th January 2020, the Triplets Ghetto Kids (TGK) will be holding their concert at Freedom City and they have dedicated the show to their fallen comrade Alex Ssempijja.  Alex Ssempijja (RIP) is the pioneer of the dance group and he was the start of many children’s dreams when he appeared in Eddy Kenzo’s Mundeke Numbe music video just as the BET award winner was starting his career.  The idea of the Ghetto Kids was then developed with the inclusion of other children who have turned into national assets, winning numerous awards and performing at the big global stages on top of inspiring many other young talents.  In 2015, Ssempijja died in a bicycle accident which also almost claimed Patricia Nabakooza’s life. She is the current Spokesperson of the TGK.  Speaking to media at a press conference held at their dance studio along Salaama Road, the TGK pledged to use the money collected from their concert to support Alex Ssempijja’s mother.  It is going to be a charity show and proceeds will help the family of our brother the late Ssempijja Alex. He is the pioneer of Triplets Ghetto Kids and if all goes well, we can use the money to construct a small house for his mother even if it’s just two rooms.  The concert has been widely supported by fans, media, and fellow artistes including Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, Wembly Mo, Felista, Kapiripiiti, Rig Rapper, among others.
