Lyrical G breathes again with brand new 15-track album dubbed ‘Geezy’

Veteran Ugandan rapper Jeff Kintu, popularly known as Lyrical G, has dropped his ninth studio album since 2004 dubbed ‘Geezy’ – produced by Lyrical G, Collin Subika and G-Son MGM.  Lyrical G is an award-winning Ugandan rapper, songwriter, producer and vocalist. He boasts the record for the most studio albums in Ugandan Hiphop – a total of nine albums.  At a media album listeners party held at Atmosphere Lounge on Monday evening, Lyrical G introduced his new album dubbed ‘Geezy’ to a group of journalists.  He explained that the new album is meant for his loyal fans who have been starved the most during a period of over two years in which he has not dropped an album.  LG revealed that the last music album that he released was dubbed ‘Feel Good Music’ and was released in 2014 before he left Uganda for overseas on business-related reasons.  I owe the people an album every year. At least every year or one and a half, I have to give the people an album. It’s mandatory that I had to drop this album because I owed you.  One of the songs that grabs your attention straight up is ‘Keep It Lit’. It’s pure Hip-hop and there’s huge anticipation it’ll be the biggest song on the album. All other songs however also contain indescribable magic.  The album comprises of fifteen tracks inclusive of collaborations with top Ugandan rappers including GNL Zamba, St. Nellysade, Unique, Akay47, MC Yallah, Chen’o Billy, Oki Foever among others.  With the new crop of Hiphop artistes in the country, Geezy is sets out to redraw the true definition of the music genre and lifestyle and we hope the fans receive it warmly.  The album is out and on sale on all major music streaming platforms online. It is also being sold on CD at only UGX 20,000. It’s comeback season, be involved and purchase the good stuff!
