Lil Wayne’s Funeral debuts at No. 1

Tunechi is back on top.Lil Wayne debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his 13th studio album Funeral. The project, which features Big Sean, XXXTentacion, and Adam Levine, enters with 139,000 equivalent album units, of which 38,000 were in album sales.  Funeral becomes the Young Money rapper’s fifth leader on the chart and 12th top 10 effort. He previously topped the Billboard 200 with 2018’s Tha Carter V, 2011’s Tha Carter IV, 2010’s I Am Not a Human Being, and 2008’s Tha Carter III.  Taking to Instagram, a grateful Wayne thanked his fans for their support. “Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! I Ain’t Sh*t Without You!!” he wrote.  Roddy Ricch ’s former chart-topper Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial falls to No. 2 with 86,000 equivalent album units, while Eminem’s surprise album Music to Be Murdered By slips to No. 3 with 69,000 units.  Russ makes his debut at No. 4 with Shake the Snow Globe, which earned 65,000 equivalent album units (39,000 in album sales). It’s the Atlanta rapper’s third total and consecutive top 10 effort following 2018’s Zoo and 2017’s There’s Really a Wolf.

Rounding out the top 10 is Yo Gotti, whose 10th studio album Untrapped debuts at No. 10 with 35,000 equivalent album units. It’s the Memphis rapper’s fourth top 10 effort and follows 2017’s I Still Am, which peaked at No. 6.
