Belinda Nansaasi, an unemployed graduate wins Miss Curvy Uganda 2019, walks away with grand prize of Jeep Cherokee

A 25-year-old, unemployed recent graduate of Makerere University has won the inaugural Miss Curvy Uganda pageant, writing her name into history and walking off with the grand prize of a Jeep Cherokee.
Belinda Nansaasi from Kitooro-Entebbe was in the small hours of today morning declared Miss Curvy Uganda 2019 at Imperial Royale Hotel, beating 24 other contestants to the crown and grand prize after a the ladies completed a series of cat-walking the runway in different attires and a brain battle answering questions from the judges.
Belinda could hardly control her emotions as she was read out overall winner at the culmination of the three-month journey that has proved a baptism of fire for the pageant –many Ugandans castigated the pageant upon its launch back in February.
Chief guest, Government  Chief-whip Ruth Nankabirwa, flanked by Tourism Minister Godfrey Kiwanda and Misss Curvy Uganda CEO Anne Mungoma, crowned Belinda and handed her the keys to her grand prize Jeep Cherokee.
The runners-up were: 1st Runner Up –Praise Nansamba; 2nd Runner Up –Mariam Namukasa.
